Hike & Dine Umbrüggler Alm
The short hike from the mountain station of the Hungerburgbahn (857 m) to the Umbrüggler Alm (1,123 m) above Innsbruck is 2 km long, takes about 45 minutes and covers an altitude difference of 250 meters. We leave together at 5 p.m. from the Hungerburgbahn mountain station; it is also possible to walk up on your own. The mountain station can be reached by bus line J, which runs every 10 minutes to several stops in Innsbruck city center (e.g. Sillpark, Landesmuseum, Maria-Theresien-Strasse). Please get off at the final stop “Nordkette”. The congress ticket includes free use of all bus lines in Innsbruck. Parking on the Hungerburg is available but limited.
Regional specialties and atmospheric networking await you at the Umbrüggler Alm. The Umbrüggler Alm impresses with its avant-garde design, which at the same time radiates coziness, and the excellent cuisine.
The hike is classified as “easy”, the route is mostly on a wide, gravel path through the forest and is somewhat steeper in places. We recommend sturdy shoes and a headlamp for the way back.
